Muskegon, Michigan - 200 FOOT BEACH MAT!

muskegon beach mat and clouds in blue sky

Enjoy 26 miles of sugar-sand beaches on the shores of Lake Michigan, one of the longest coastlines in the U.S. featuring multiple accessible beach options. Muskegon's shores stand out thanks to the Action TrackChair—an off-road wheelchair .To reserve it, contact Muskegon State Park. If the Action TrackChair isn’t available for your travel dates, manual beach wheelchairs are available. (Discover your perfect Michigan spot.)

They also have a 200 foot handicapped walkway which is not to be missed but unfortunately do no have an accessible dock/swimming rig which allows safe handicapped access to the water.

The beautiful expanse of clean, sandy beach is surf raked daily.  Among other things, kite boarders are a big attraction for spectators and enthusiasts alike.

Before venturing to the beach, tour the Muskegon Museum of Art, a surprisingly spectacular museum established after Muskegon became a lumbering boomtown in the 1870s and 1880s.
