Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, Panama City Beach is located in the Northwest region of Florida. One of the best parts of visiting Panama City Beach is all of the fresh seafood you get to eat
Accessibility Features: There is a wooden walkway ramp that connects with a smooth rubber beach mat called a Mobi-Mat. Beach mats are great for manual and power wheelchairs alike, and can be helpful for walkers and canes, as well.
In addition to mats which allow access using regular wheelchairs, this beach offers a beach wheelchair that can travel over sand called the Mobi-Chair. There are at least two Mobi-Chairs currently available, totally free of charge, if they are not already taken by the time you come. These beach wheelchairs can seat (and float) up to two people (the companion/pusher can ride on the back in the water).
Another option for beach wheelchair in Panama City Beach Florida is Beach Powered Mobility (beachpoweredmobility.com) you can visit their site or give them a call at 1-800-533-1168 to reserve one of their powered Beach Cruisers.
They do not yet, however, provide accessible docks or "swimming rigs" which allow disability visitors to swim freely and safely in the water.
